Legitimate Ebay or not?

It looks fine to be honest with you, but I always find its best to avoid 0 feedback people. I mean it is a good few hundred pounds and is it really worth risking it? Perhaps find some other laptop on ebay :)

It looks legit to me - geniune photos etc

The only thing that would put me off, apart from the zero feedback, is the insistance on bank transfer. You have no comeback with this.

The postage is also completely over the top - I sent a 14KG Apple Mac insured to £500 with Parcel Force for £10. £45 is just stupid

If I was looking to buy it I'd ask if I could come and pick it up. You'd therefore be safe from scams and avoid the stupid postage costs

Im in blackpool so no chance of collection. Ive been scammed selling something on ebay before (buyer did a charge reversal on paypal :( ) so i am very wary - and I am after that laptop in particular cause it is so small and cheap.

seems ok but the price is too high, i picked up 2 of those laptops, exact same make model an spec for £320 each including delivery about 3 weeks ago off ebay, good lil lappys

Maybe send him an e-mail asking about PayPal/etc saying you'll pay fees or ask about sending a cheque. I'd also ask him about the postage costs - if he complains then I'd arrange a courier to pick it up myself. £45 is over four times what he should ask

EDIT: Use http://www.sendaparcel.com/ to collect/deliver it. They are very reliable (used them a few times) and they use Parcel Force. I've heard horror stories about Parcel2Go. They start at about £10 too

2KG via Royal Mail Special Delivery insured to £500 is £6.95. Who knows where £45 came from

gib786 : i dont suppose u know of anywhere or anyone selling them do you? Sell me one of yours? :p

Really want one cause of their size.

i havent found anywhere selling them, a few pop up on ebay every month or so, I may be selling mine on ebay in the next few weeks though as im not really using it much. Only thing you will find bad about em is the 1hr battery life!

The battery life doesnt bother me at all as I would always be using it with a plug. Could I possibly tempt you to sell it like now? :)

I dont really get the whole "wont buy off zero feedback people", after all, we all had zero feedback at one time, all newbies at some stage, so as long as you get all the sellers details, does it matter?

You cannot tell whether someone with zero feedback is legit or not as they have no proven successful trading history. It is a leap in the dark. If you want to take a leap in the dark with £300+ of your hard earned cash with little or no comeback if something goes wrong, that's your right :) Personally I will continue to be cautious, and I would only buy an expensive item from established sellers who have the £500 PayPal buyer guarantee. Why take the risk.
