Lent progress.

My sister gave up tea, coffee, coke, snacking, sweets and what not... only drank water and had three meals a day, the money she saved went to charity, I'm a proud brother :)

Dont give up anything, it's just another month, sod the religious conotations, were in the 21st century, their aint no god, move on:D

I DIDN'T GIVE UP ALCOHOL FOR RELIGIOUS REASON, I DID IT BECAUSE JESUS IS LEET AND GOD TOLD ME......I wanted to prove a point to myself, I don't care if it sounds gay, I would like a lot of people on here to give up something they enjoyed and do it for 45 days, it was epic, I did it and I am glad I did it, it has shown me the way towards enjoyment rather than an indulgent, in our society alcohol is a quick fix for the cracks, cheap and easy and completely missing the point.

My liver is fresh ;)

I gave up booze, meat and all things cake / biscuit / chocolate / pudding / goody like. Did it and found it quite easy, apart from the occasional sugar craving.

It really is something more people should consider - depriving yourself of the things you enjoy. It's good for you, physically and spiritually.

It's not a good thing that you can simply indulge yourself in everything you desire whenever you want. It's important to appreciate what you might otherwise take for granted.
