Lent

i gave up pastry, so far its been hard to resist.. especially in the mornings at work....but i'll see it out.

when it ends i'm going to make beef welligton and baklava for afters. looking foward to it.

Hey cheets I've been off the chocolate since my pancakes too! I'm usually a proper chocoholic, I'd get cravings in the evening if I hadn't had any during the day.

42 Days in.. can see the end now! I've got about 700g of frozen chocolate waiting for me.

For someone who used to drink over a litre of coke a day I'm doing just fine without it. I wanted to test if I had an addiction and it would appear not. :)

I've been saving up the Hariboos... and can't wait for a cup of sweet tea :p

LOL when is it that we can go crazy? Sat or sun?

Holy Week and the season of Lent, depending on denomination and local custom, end with Easter Vigil at sundown on Holy Saturday or on the morning of Easter Sunday. It is custom for some churches to hold sunrise services which include open air celebrations in some places.

Depends, I always end it on Sunday at midday

Yeah, first couple of weeks was hell but now I could easily not bother eating any, cravings have gone.

I am wobbling a bit on red meat but still haven't touched any.

Coffee, I don't miss at all and drink green tea instead.

Red meat, thats hardcore, 2009 I did alcohol that was hard work going to parties/pub and not being able to drink.

Gave up Chocolate for lent... thought it would be a challenge, but it would seem not!

Definitely no chocolate addiction here.. feel almost disappointed!

Aw hell no! That's the glorious thing about Easter Sunday. Get up, really nice church service outside early in the morning, sun shining brightly then it's off home to indulge.

Nothing better than a good drink at 9:30am in the morning ;)

Out Sunday around 3pm for a meal at a nice restaurant, celebrating my birthday was last week, great aunties Saturday, and dads which is on Tuesday, mum is making her usual homemade birthday cake, sponge with chocolate chips, double cream whipped and jam centre with some melted chocolate on top.

Done it, 46 days and nights

Was tough but worth it
