Lent

Sorry but it does my head in, same last year when I made a thread on Lent, idiots coming in saying they are giving up Lent for Lent

Why dont you moderate this thread like you mods did last year, yeah, cheers.

There's nothing to moderate in this thread... and specifically the post made by Gackt was well written, not trolling and some good points were made.

You may have missed it, but I DO follow Lent - so it's not as if I'm not interested.

Calm down old chap, not everyone is out to get you. :)

I’ll be doing my best to cut out my current addiction to crisps and peanuts. :D

Had no idea it was pancake day or lent, but I haven't had a crisp or peanut since November anyway :(

Not for any religious reason, just losing the weight I had put on by eating too many of said offending articles...

I am giving up crisp and chocolate, did it last year, was good giving up a treat, focuses the mind and soul and helps with fitness :D

Do you drink a lot of coffee/pop?

Nothing, dont need some religious nonsense to tell me what I can and cant do.. :P

Anyway, I wish those participating in Lent the very best of luck. :)

Puddings, cakes and biscuits as I am putting the pounds on and Lent is a perfect time to do it.
Gave up sugar in tea last year and prefer it that way now !

I don't drink coke - maybe 1 or 2 cans a year.

I do drink a lot of coffee and tea though. (3-4 cups a day)

I don't think you can actually give up masturbation as you will just start doing it in your sleep. I don't think the really conservative Christians care about that though.
