What features are people genuinely excited about? Apart from OS integrated virtual desktops it seems a rather lacklustre release from where I'm sitting..
Because someone's bound to ask: the cut-off for up-to-date is the 1st of October, and the cost is £5.95.
So, those of you who bought a shiny new Mac this month get a nice cheap upgrade
Does the icon on the menu bar count?
Other than that, Time Machine and Quick Look.
Decisions decisions...
Buy now or wait for bugs, if any, to be ironed out
Link?
That's exactly my plan.Well apparently, if it isn't a apple branded HD then it will void it!
I think im going to do this.
Buy a 2.4ghz MBP with the 160gb 7200RPM in it.
Then next year, before the 2nd round of updates, get me a Penryn MBP.
Job done
Anybody know if it's possible to install iLife 06 off the Tiger install disks onto Leopard?
You have the option to install iLife seperately.
Just browse the Tiger DVD and look in "Add on software" (can't recall the exact folder name) and double click the installer.
Just spoke to a Apple expert, the link is
www.apple.com/uk/macosx/uptodate
Its not up at the moment but should be in a hour they said.
NOTE: This is for people who bought Macs from 1st Oct onwards only
Pah it just links to the OS X Page at the moment!
