so my 360 is dead

Phoned up and they said they email me details for pickup/label

How long does it take normally to come through?

I got the labels really quick, I dropped it off on the 23rd Oct and they said 15 working days till I get it back :(

I'm hoping I'll see it this week sometime but not holding my breath....

Cheers guys

Really annoyed just bought halo3 CoD4 and lego starwars :(

So far i have played nil :( :( :(

Yea my release day 360 died on me Friday night, I'd played 6 minutes of CoD4 according to my mate :( Thinking of buying an Elite so I can play COD4 and Assassins Creed and then I'll trade my newly repaired one for cash or something, drastic but i need my fix !!! :p

do you think they will start replacing broken 360's with the new more reliable models as they are sent in for repair?

it seems to make sence to me as the number of failures will become lower and lower as more and more zephers replace the flawed models.

Well if they want to continue losing money they will have to do something which no doubt they will (because we all know how MS loves their money ;)), but I've said it plenty of times it wont happen over night like most people expect it to.

I think the problem is with the refurbs is that they strip out the working parts from the bust 360's and re-use them in other consoles to save money hence why the refurbs are more likely to fail than a 'off the shelf' console.

Well got it 7/6/07 however its a .com retailer and they want to do the whole we'll send it to the manufacturer rather than just swap, half of me wishes i now spent and extra £30 and got it off the high street :(

Man Date. is 18/10/06 though

dot com retailer or not they have to abide by the sale of goods act. Look into it and them quote it to them by email. I did this for something I bought from the apple store and they soon caved in ;)

Unforchantly I happen to have read the SOGA and they are perfectly within the law to offer what they have so its either .com>ms or straight to MS myself

Atleast with going to MS i dont have to bother sending off forms to refund postage

Took mine to the UPS depot today in Manchester. Walked through the door with an unmarked brown box and the guy immediately said, let me guess a 360 ? :( Apparently they've been getting boat loads of the things sent back, according to him mine was the 13th one given in today alone  I knew it was a big problem but I thought it had died down a bit

Hmm got an email with a label thats the size of an a4 paper and a printable receipt however only 1 email so unsure what to put inside the box (ie any paperwork) or is it just console and stick the label on the box and thats it?

Also can you phone for collections or do you have to drop off? Dont fancy driving to luton :(

put the console inside a plain box (not the box that came with the 360) and place the label on the out side of box( with tape) and a UPS person will be coming the next day to collect it.

Yup boring box, all they need is the label on the outside. Call UPS and arrange where to pick it from.

Oh and as Mr UPS said to me, keep the box they return it in as you 'never know' when you might need it again ;)
