Let the ranting begin....

And before you say anything, I'm aiming this at you solely and not Visage because I believe he did/has put you on ignore.

Putting someone on ignore is not much use when you keep making snide comments about that person is it?
If by putting me on ignore he neither read my posts nor took little swipes at me (such as in his reply to Geoff - "Well he is an astonishing and disappointing person") then it would mean something. As it stands he still replies to my posts and takes digs when he can so I guess the "but he has you on ignore" defence is somewhat shot to pieces.

I hope this is a throwaway post and not a serious suggestion that opposing mass immigration from eastern europe makes one far right ;)

I was hoping that it wasn't a serious one that Polish people were going to read the paper in Polish and then attempt to read it again in English in order to learn English better.
My guess is that if they want to learn English they will enrol at college.

Because its CAVING IN TO IMMIGRANTS.

WHY CANT THEY LEARN ENGLISH?

WHY AM I SHOUTING?

THEY DO LEARN ENGLISH, THE POLISH I KNOW CAN SPEAK ENGLISH BUT I SUPPOSE TO MAKE AN ASSUMPTION BASED ON A SMALL GROUP OF PEOPLE AND WHAT THE MEDIA TELL ME IS A REASON TO RANT, MMMKAY...*caps off*

Hey Robmiller it seems I am not the only one who is takign offence to a certain style of post froma certain poster, and there was me assumignt hat you are indeed correct and everyone except me just ignores it ........

I know quite a few Polish people and yeah they are here to work and do the jobs that a lot of Brits won't do. My friend Anna she worked 12 hours a day, 7 days a week in a restaurant. She intends to stay here for 15 years, whilst getting an education and make a life out of the opportunities, the only thing she says she doesn't want to die in Britain but would like to die in Poland (glad she thinks positively). If people have a gripe against europeans coming here to work, I'd point the fingers at the government.

Plus the Polish know how to have a good night on the town, especially the women, they have the values and respect I like in women. They can dance, unlike the brits who just wobble :D

How very mature of you:rolleyes:, this place is becoming more and more pathetic day by day with some of the members attitudes in here....again not going to mention any names but seems like its always the same people time and time again...kinda getting fed up of it tbh.

Anyways back OT i cant see the problem with having a local paper being printed in Polish if there is a need for it. You Brits need to stop feeling so threatened by anything foreign. Yes a lot of foreigners/immigrants are nothing but a waste of space but on the otherhand there are plenty that actively contribute to the UK economy etc.
God only knows what would happen if a local paper was being printed in Arabic....

We are not, we are merely becoming concerned about the different ways that foreign practices come into the UK, and we are criticising some practices amongst them.

Hmmm are you sure??, seems like theres a rant about muslims or other immigrants/foreigners every other day in here and in the media. I dont think its concern, maybe from some but theres an underlying tone of paranoia in a lot of the criticisms of things foreign to the British.

Buddhism, pasta, high street fashion, kung-fu to name a few foreign things that are adored in th UK... it is not blanket xenophobia

There is a prize for who can spot the irony in this post ;)

I was just thinking that lol. It seems perfectly harmless to have a local paper in polish. Let's face it, many of these Eastern Europeans are working which is more than can be said for certain native members of our society :(
