Lets do a Wow thread showing what your best character looks like?

I think the graphics from EQ2 and certainly from LOTRO are much better. I had forgotten how cartoonish WoW actually looks. Are those screenies on max settings? Anyone have anything on max settings to compare with?

WoW is meant to look cartoonish. Stills don't do WoW justice anyway, the character animations are top notch imo, and I can play it on my naff old rig without any lag (apart in Shattrah City and Orgrimmar).

Who cares about the graphics anyway? It's all about the gameplay isn't it?

Depends on how good the game is. Obviously in a WoW thread you are going to get everyone loving WoW (and god help anyone who is negative towards it). I was only asking for the graphics to compare how things are with 2 years ago when I quit the currently screenshots seem pretty much exactly the same (okay armour and weapons are different) as they were then. It seems other MMO's are constantly upgrading every area (new graphics, SFX, etc.) while WoW seems to have been very static in these areas.

And as this is a thread about screenshots not gameplay thats why I asked.

also is that xperl for your using, how did u get your rep bar under your mana bar and what is the chat/action buttons addon?

Interesting tactic you are using there, I see 2 shackled undeads in the background, We just gather everything and AoE on almost every wave :p

Because with WoW they concentrated on actually making the game FUN, unlike SWG. SWG was a few years before WoW btw. WoW graphics are fine.

Indeed. Although WoW was also a memory hog, blizz realised that creating a game that is very graphically intense can cause havoc with 40+ people on screen, terrain, mobs and spells going off! Lower "cartoony" graphics look good still and dont mess PCs up!

Yeah, it really doesn't help that the arena and pve equipment are the same, but with different color skins. One of Blizzard's weaknesses is not being able to provide enough unique armor and weapon models for a game of this size. Even my tailor-made items are just a copy and paste of years-old pre-tbc equipment.
