Have to agree that wow is looking dated and desperately needs a graphical update. The good thing is the engine is probably the best in any mmo. EQ2's was pretty horrible, turn it up it was unplayable but looked nice, turn it down to wow's playability it looked like something from the spectrum.

See if I can dig some screens out later, miss that game, bit like your first girlfriend you never forget :( :o

Here's some old old incredibly old pictures

back when this was pretty damn good gear :/ Had to quit cos of graphics card woes around the beginning of december with the good 3 pieces of season 3 and a guild that had cleared illidan, but now I have a new graphics card I really can't be bothered to resub so I guess I should sell it

gnome goggles

Surprised there aren't more people here in ye olde goone squade to be honest!

WoW is very dated looking, but then it is quite old now.

I just wish the game was more fun for the casual player, once you get to 70 unless you can raid 5 nights a week then no guild will take you, and finding a group to do anything on our server was a nightmare.

I gave up playing before christmas with only rubbish lvl 70 gear, seems a bit pointless to waste all that time on it when as soon as the expansion comes out it will be mostly worthless.

This is true, but for the majority of endgame raiders, it's defeating the content, not the gear.

There was a guy I knew who had dropped out of 6th form 2 years earlier to play WoW, he would get up at 7 every morning and leave with his dad to go to college, but then came home because he wasn't enrolled any more, just to play WoW. When his dad was only holiday and it was term time he'd have to get up at 7 and go to the library or the park all day.

People like that don't raid because they want to complete the content, they raid because they have thrown their life away and are too frightened to turn the game off and enter the real world again.

None of the guys in my old guild enjoyed raiding, it was the most boring thing in the world to them, but since they had wasted 3 years of their life getting there and no longer had any friends left, what else were they going to do?

No self controll.. I raided at 60 for a while, got bored and went back to pvp. Raided at 70 to try the new outland raids realy, found it just as boring, back to pvp again.
