I don't see what makes this country "Fantastic", if not the people who populate and/or run the country.

I didn't use the word 'fantastic', I used 'pretty' and 'interesting'.

Although I might have come across there as despising people(and I do dislike groups of people in the sense that most large groups are moronic, individuals I can get on fine with) I do take the point that to an extent people do have an impact on the country but this is a beautiful country and would be with or without people here. People affect your enjoyment of a place either positively or negatively but as far as these things go people arrive and people leave but this country is always likely to be scenic provided that people don't mess it up too much and that is one of the things I like most about it, the weather isn't bad, there is a lot to do and I feel an affinity to the place.
