Let's see your Christmas trees!

Not got ours up yet. It's not a real tree but it'll add the charm of Christmas nonetheless. :) will probably get round to doing it next weekend. :)

I got a bit too eager this year and accidentally got something far too big. I live in an old Edwardian house with 3m ceilings and I still had to cut the top and bottom off it to fit. I had to modify the base too to get it into the stand. The wife isn't impressed but the kids think it's hilarious and it certainly fills the house with the smell of pine :) I shall be getting something more standard in size next year :)

Somehow from a picture of a corner of a room your house looks nice. I think it's the cornice and the window :D

You've got to get a massive tree far larger than the room can accommodate. I think it's actually written in "bloke law" somewhere. How wide is that ting anyway? Look gigantic.

I've been given strict orders that the tree isn't to go up until a week before Christmas. That's torture for me because I love everything to do with Christmas and winter in general.

Can't really see the lights on mine because they're those tiny micro lights.

All my baubles are individual that I've bought over the years, it's like Sophie's Choice deciding which ones go on the front and which ones are hidden at the back! (They're mostly Disney baubles from my time working as a slave to the mouse :))

Poppy the cat approves of the tree.

Yeah well she will be even more pee'd off when you try and get the damn thing out again... I made that mistake a couple of years back. The tree went in nice as it was all rolled up in netting. Put it in the stand and cut the netting only for the branches to spring out and then get bigger and bigger as the days went on and the branches all relaxed.

Cue me trying to fold it all up nice again to pull it outside after 4 weeks indoors. I didnt even make it out of the livingroom door before I lost it and just dragged the ****er out by the base with it spewing needles everywhere

I was still cleaning up rogue needles about 6 months later :(

Rather than get bogged down in the real tree/fake tree debate this year, I decided to take things in a different direction. :)

I grew a vine screen instead! :D

It has taken me the best part of 12 months to train, trim and weave this vine into its current shape.
