Sainsburys So organic coming out top with a 90% result, Asda ones get the lowest at 10%

I love a mince pie, nuke it in the microwave so that the 'mince' turns to lava and then serve with some ice cream, mmm.

They do a mince pie round up every year, its custom pc tradition :D

Were the co-op truly irresistible ones in that? Ours are by far the best ones I've tasted, pretty good for £1.50 too. £9.95 for 6 mince pies :eek::eek:

Oh my days - MAKE YOUR OWN!!!

1x Large Jar of Mince Meat <£2 for asda's own
1x block of hard baking marge <£1
Plain flour <£1
A bit of water

Rub the marge and flour together until you have a bread crumb consistency
Add water and make the pastry with your hands
Leave in the fridge for 30 mins to 'rest'
Roll out and cut out circles
On one half of circle add mince meat, fold over other half and press edges together
Put on a baking tray and cook for 20 mins on 200 (fan oven)
Remove, cool and serve

You don't even need any special tins or cutters this way! You have mince parcels!
Bit of milk on the edge to 'seal' the pastry together and you can also make LOADS of them!

I made mine last night (actual pies tho) going to do more next weekend - will post pics :p
