Gibbo, does the Friday date for the 34UM95 mean that they'll be delivered on Monday? Any chance they might arrive with you by Thursday for a Friday delivery?
 
If the 25" one is 2560x1080, and 25" diagonal, and my current monitor is 1920x1200, and 24" diagonal, doesn't that mean the vertical size of it is tiny? Any chance of a height measurement of the actual screen?

PPI on the 25" 2560x1080 should be better.
I was tempted to take one of those 25" 2560x1080's myself, but I went for the Asus in the end.
 
Sorry to bug you Gibbo, but any update on the ETA for the 34UM95? i.e is it still on track for Friday (or perhaps tomorrow?).

Consoles will black bar, creating a 16:9 in the middle.

Which is frustrating, I have a 29" Asus 2560x1080, but I'm loving 21:9, but want bigger, so the LG 3440X1440 looks perfect, but then what do I do with my Asus?

Well we are now best mates with LG, all is well now they visited and we are working together.

We are expecting a small delivery any day and a much larger delivery in approx. 1-2 weeks. :)

Fair enough. I am still 99% there on pressing buy... buy my WCing setup would take a back seat... decisions, decisions...

Then again I do not have the best of luck with monitors...

Oh dear @ "We are expecting a small delivery any day"... do you know if you will have sufficient monitors in the first delivery to include a pre-order made today?

When you say "any day", does that mean it might be into next week before you get them?

If you pre-order today, you will be in second batch.
 
What is the refresh rate on the LG Flatron 34UM95-P and will I be able to switch to a lower res and then display that natively or will it stretch across the screen?
