LG 29UC88 - anyone got one?

I still have my 29" LG, use it for films, TVshow box sets...and stuff like that, and being as it's an IPS Panel vidoe files look much better than on my TN panels :)
 
Whats the deal with the stands on these then, seen a couple of people mention it now?

The stand looks different from the curved screen to the flat one however??
 
I found the stand completely fine, slides up and down nicely and tilts forward or flat.
Plus looks pretty minimal.

Pretty sure that's a standard 21" monitor. The LG really is gorgeous, highly recommended
 
So I took the plunge on one of these, think my 7950 may struggle though, what would people recommened for an upgrade (about £300) rest spec is 3750 at 4+Ghz and 16 gig of ram

RX480 8Gb.

Grab the XFX GTR Black Edition or Sapphire Nitro.
 
Worth the extra to go for a 1070? Or will the 480 be good for games like battlefront / battlefield?
 
Ok so this monitor arrived this morning and it is AMAZING! Couldn't notice any dead pixels or backlight bleed that you can actually see when playing a game (even in dark scenes).

People please be aware, the stand on this one is nothing like the flat version.

This one has great height, tilt and rotation manoeuvrability.


I tested out Star Citizen for a while and it was jaw dropping in 21:9.

I am a particular fan of the 29UC88 - seeing as I own one myself, albeit I don't play games, its more for work purposes
 
Thanks Daniel, it truly is a wonderful product!

Only problem is, Santa has had to package it backup until Christmas, so I'm on best behaviour until then :D

Could you check stand size?
How much space do you need from wall to end of stand and how wide i stand at the end?

Crazy question, my desk is very small but do everything thing to buy this beauty

Sure, I'll check tomorrow for you when Im back home unless Daniel has the info stashed away somewhere?.

The stand isn't that wide to be honest and should fit even the smallest of desks.
