Might be buying this later once i have tried my own HD content on it.

Anyone on here got this model who would like to give me a bit of detail on it? What they think of it and has it coped well etc? (mind as gone blank and cant think of any questions lol)

Thanks

I have the 60" version. The picture quality is great, maybe not as black as the Panasonic models but still miles ahead of LCD.

I haven't had any issues or complaints, I'd really like to get it calibrated and see how accurate it really is. Even with a manual setup the colours and motion are excellent, very detailed, sharp display.

That is good to hear. It is only £600 in Currys and all the reviews seem to rave about it.

Went in earlier and wasn't to pleased with the picture but i asked if i could bring my own content in and they was happy with it. Hopefully it looks better with my HD content.

Thanks

Gone in for the above and come out with a Samsung ps51e550 @ £750.

Being delivered on the 30th. Already considering cancelling it as i think i have paid to much for it lol. Me and my bloody impulse buying...

Seems i have done a stupid thing... Its not the first time and won't be the last lol.

The set i have paid £750 for can be had for £630.

Edit: sorry Phate, only just noticed your post. I will look into it tonight, i will be cancelling this TV in the morning, hoping it can be done over the phone.

Yeah you will be able to no problems :)

My TV turns up tomorrow, will post what I think about it tomorrow :)

Thanks Phate.

Never known anyone to have Panasonic TV's, so i never thought to look into one. I really liked the LG in the OP but the only ones they had in stock was the ones on display through out the country. Wouldn't even put a discount on it either, so left it.

Then because i am a genius, i got talked into the Samsung. Pured suckered lol and he even thrown in a 'free' KnowHow plan which i have just noticed after reading that they will automatically start taking £8 out of my account every month after 2 months for it.

So up to £750 spend now, any other good contenders out there to look into?

Picture quality is all that matters for me. Anything else is just a bonus.

Well, Panasonic Plasmas are usually out of my budget, hence me looking at the LG.

Then JL started doing this deal and I couldn't believe it. Generally though...Pano's are the best plasmas in the business :)

especially when you see a panny beside a Sammy and an LG, the Panny just looks so much better....sharpness is the same on all 3, but the Panny has far better blacks and a much better contrast ratio, the other two tv's look dull and washed out in comparison and in a big way too, the worst being the LG.

EVEN SO, the LG still looks better than a LED.

wait till you see the Panny at home on HD, it looks brilliant and miles better than in the showroom

I've got until 10am till I have to leave for work, if it gets delivered at 9:30 or later I won't be able to unpack it till I get home :(

Oops, sorry for slight thread hijack.

My LED light kit to go behind the TV also turned up today, oooh exciting times - expect pics in the home cinema thread later :)

Will have to have a look :)

I rang Currys and they said i have to go instore with my debit card to cancel... Boooo...

I would love a fancy setup, but having a 7 year old with friends around poking and flinging thing across the room, there is just no point lol.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WHY WONT THIS TRAIN GO ANY FASTER?!?!?!

Not that I've been waiting all day or anything...
