LG announces the 32GS95UE - worlds first 480hz OLED monitor

Dell is either subsidising the monitor because who knows why, maybe they ordered too much stock, or Dell just has far lower distribution costs to the UK than other brands

Ordered the Alienware and got it next day despite it saying delivery in May. Unfort. it didn't come w/ a protective screen so it has the micro scratches/marks that you can see if a light is shined on it. Don't notice it in regular use. Why Dell packages the monitor like that is beyond me!

Hi all still no idea when this will be available in the uk and where. I take OC will get some in ?
Also, one retailer has it down for early June and some EU stores too. Seems about right, we always get a delay with new LG stuff. I'm interested in the 39" but it's going to be silly money as always on launch.

So my review of this monitor before I return it..
  • This monitor is much MUCH darker than my LG C2 42"
  • The colours also look washed out when playing games, this is after much tweaking around on recommended settings from TFT central
  • The matte coating smears texts and makes thin lines look like they are heavily aliased
  • The DSC creates tons of banding in games and desktop makes it look like a garbage gif viewing party
  • There is also horrendous grey vertical lines running through the monitor out of the box
  • The cost is insane for what it is..
I do wonder how the next generation of monitors will be, and whether they'll remove the garbage matte coating - I am really annoyed at how bad it really is and how no one picked it up, other than one reviewer here:

For the love of God please don't buy this.. it has been a costly mistake for me as the retailer who sold it takes a 10% admin for returns :S

PS: This is by far the worst LG product I have ever owned, and probably up there with the worst tech I have owned.. for context in my house we have 4 OLED Tvs from the E6 to the C2 so my disappointment with this substandard monitor hurts. I also have multiple non-oled LG monitors and this is by far the worst performing item they have ever released.

Thank you great review - kinda ties in what other people on reddit and other forums are saying. It was just grossly overpriced - guessing to sucker people in thinking it was higher spec and better then the other competing models. I had a chance to buy this relatively cheap but turned it down.

The thing is some of the people who bought this swears blind theres no real issues and its all made up.......The problem is that if you spent 1.4k on a monitor and kept it - your mind will do the best to justify it deflecting any critisim.
