I still think if they changed the res to be 2560*1200, the addition to the height of the monitor would make it perfect. I felt it was lacking in height and was not 100% on it when I had it!

Just picked up an Asus PB278Q and its mint! I love it!

Ahh shame about the 1mhz , I'm able to jump to 70hz without frame skipping , 72hz with skipping , 73 no signal on my current lg panel . These 60hz?

Yes they're 60hz, but you should get some overclock.

Can't mess it up mate. If the refresh rate isn't accepted, it will go to a black screen and revert to normal after 15 seconds. You just try the next resolution & refresh rate you've given it.

My 27" 1440p ASUS is 60hz stock and I've got it running at 85hz, which is beautiful for BF3.

This is the guide I used for my 27" Asus. I would think the process is the same for most monitor however Use at your own risk!

I really liked it when I had it but the vertical height of the actual screen was too small. If it was a few cm bigger, it'd have been perfect. I subsequently sent it back and purchased a 27" ASUS 1440p panel! Much better

Yeah, seems to be a common comment with the 29" Super-wide screen. I think the 34" would be better but prices are nuts!!
