Death Star or Mount Doom, it depends on the day.
I've recently noted that my LG GX 55 TV has x2 dead pixels. 1 large, 1 small. They are in the bottom right hand corner of the screen and barley visible.

I have read online to complete a manual pixel refresher. However, despite following the TVs instructions, the TV is not turnings itself back on after the believed completion of the refresher course as per message on the TV. Has anyone else had this issue?

My CX has tens of dead pixels dotted around the edges. I only noticed last year some time when giving the screen a wipe down. None of the so called fixes out there helped so I just live with it as they're not noticeable unless when up close with the PC and I open a window maximised.

I’m 2 years in and spotted several around 10mm from the border. Can’t see them at all during watching so they can wait until the upgrade next year or so.

A CX is a 2020 model most were sold with 5 year warranty, get the damn panels changed...
Guess it can't hurt to ask the retailer or LG but I was sure it was only 1 year. Here's how mine looks up close.

Huh, whaddaya know it is 5 years. You read online about how some people have to fight customer support to claim warranty stuff. It went pretty smoothly for me and I got a pick up scheduled for this week. Let's see how it ends though..

My BX has lots of dead pixels, one big spot at the top and loads around the edges spreading up to a few inches inwards. Can't notice them when sat down and it's an old tv now so can't be arsed getting a replacement.

Good for you. Probably have a 5 year warranty, probably have the panel replaced for nowt. Probably get another 5 years out of it. Could request in house replacement, takes about 30mins.

What's 2k on a TV that's only 3ish years old.

Warranty is void since I went into developer settings so probably can't even get a replacement.

Yes, had one dead pixel, it was within the first year so had LG replace the entire screen. Did you not get 5 year warranty during purchase?

I honestly don't know the warranty situ. I don't recall paying for any extended...

I believe there is supposed to be a notification to say the the pixel refresher was completed. But I'm yet to see that.

Just noticed our GX 65" has quite a few along the bottom edge, probably 30+ pixels in the bottom 2 to 3 rows of pixels. Also some at the top, again with a few mm of the edge.

We have a 5 year warranty and we're 3 years in so may wait a little longer and see how it progresses. Not good :(
