LG OLED 2023 Thread - A3, B3, C3, G3

Hi folks,

School boy error on the C3. I bought a replacement Govee DreamView as I like the backlight, and because the TV is so thin the camera has nowhere to live.

Any thoughts?

Had to Google what it does. Maybe a small piece of wood that could be wedged in the back, or if you have a 3d printer then make something on that?

I know it’s the wrong thread, but does everyone think a 65” C1 for £1,100 is a good deal?

There’s one near to me on Marketplace, could probably negotiate down to £1k.

Is there any major features missing from the C1 to the C2/C3 for instance that would be worth paying extra for?

The *3 models support DTS audio formats again if that's of any use and has a newer OS.

Outside of them being slightly brighter there won't be much difference but I'm not sure I'd drop over a grand on a used one unless it's got a good amount of transferable warranty remaining.

After nearly a week with the 77” G3 I’m glad I went as big as I could afford….At first it felt massive….now it feels just right…

I was tempted to save £900 and go for the 65”….I think I would have got used to it…but maybe regretted i didn't go bigger…..

So apart form the wallet spanking….I'm pleased with my purchase.

Not second hand IMO. Agree with comments above generally.

I felt the same when i went from a 65" 7 year old OLED to a 77" G2. Looking forward to going to 100" G8 in a few years time :D...........................ya never can have a telly big enough :D. Enjoy.

Thanks both.

The ad says there’s still 4 years warranty but it’s non-transferable. Not sure how much you could trust the seller to help you out in 2-3 years down the line.

I’ll steer clear.

Does anyone have a C3 with a Sonos Arc? I’ve been having issues with eArc turned on. On the LG webos if I use YouTube, iPlayer, anything which doesn’t do 5.1 I get no audio through the Arc. Netflix, Plex, works fine. If I turn off eArc everything works fine. Tried decent HDMI cables from Richer but no luck. Anyone got Arc working with C3? Thinking of sending the Tv back and getting a Sony or Samsung.

I have a Sonos Beam and the C3. Sorry not quite the same, but no issues.

I’ve used an Arc on a C9 and a G3 without issues using both TV apps and an Apple TV.

Make sure you have Digital Sound Output set to passthrough under advanced in the sound settings.

Hi all, I'm keenly anticipating delivery of a 55" G3 on Monday but I'm torn as to whether to use the wall mount or not!

I'd love it wall mounted but my plug socket is behind where it will sit and so I'm not going to be able to take advantage of the set being flush to the wall!

Can anyone confirm whether the mount is OK to be used whilst not in the fully "clicked in" position? (ie. is it OK to be used slightly away from the wall to accommodate the depth of the plug?)

Ta

Yes the manual says the mount should not be used completely pulled out for long periods but to have it pushed in as close as it can go a plug depth is fine…

Get a low profile wall socket if you haven’t already to shave 10mm off the depth.
