Lian Li A70B Review - BRAND NEW

You know ive had Antec 900/Antec 182/Eclipse 62 lol

Proberly not nearly as much as what most of you guys have ever had... but im completly lost with my next upgrade, my antec 182s gone back for a refund this week turns out one of the case fans was faulty;)

I dont have the foggiest on my next case, I wanted something just like your lian case, something with good front cooling and something that can still drive cooling across the mainboard as well and keep the hdds/GTX nice and cold and I love that internal cooling with 2x120mm fans.

Theres nothing out there currently apart from Antec 900 and few cases about but nothing eye grabbing, considered the cosmos but lack of decent hdd/VGA cooling put me off it.

So im back to square one with no choice currently, and gotta order end of this week if not next !

I'd take a look at the v2000 and maybe add a couple of ex-33's to draw some cool air into the mobo area.

That way you'd have airflow to the cpu and 8800 while the 120mm fan in the lower section would cool the hdd's.

Before i was lucky enough to get this case that was the route i was taking. The design of the ex-33's perfectly complements the design of the v series.

Plus you can get a window for it too! ;)

me likes the look of this case too.....I just hope I can hold off the "buy it now" button on all the components until its launched !

I'm liking this case more and more!

Thanks for the review gt_junkie and the additions simonnance.

I have a PC-70A and PC-G70A (unfortunately missed out on the PC-7077A) and the PC-A70A looks like the natural progression.

Am I right in that the PC-A71 (with door) has a flat front behind the door but the PC-A70 (without door) is slightly recessed where the front intake fans are mounted?

Thanks Legoman,

Yes, you are correct... the 70 has the recessed area over the double lower intake. The 71 is flat from all the images of it i have seen!

I would have loved the PC-7077A but like you i missed out on it. :(

You'll love either of these cases. :)

Cant think of getting another case while knowing u got a A70B ;)

Due late november for £200 still ?

You know its only few weeks away... considering waiting for this or the Antec 1200....

As far as i can tell its 3rd hand..... guy reviewed it, sold it on, and i got it from the second guy on MM.

As you can see it has a load of Paxmate crud on it (which is an ass to get off, might have to use my chemistry knowledge), which helped it depreciate some......

Still nice to be ahead of the curve though on something for a change, its a very nice case!

£143 brand new.

There is stock in the UK.The Silver and the Black are both available at a competitor for £151 inc VAT

A70 & A71 have been here for 3-4 weeks. Side window at present is not being brought in as their are lots of 1000 and 2000 series windows sitting on shelves. I forgot to ask about the optional top panel.

I went straight to the importers for mine, so thanks to Christina for putting up with my months of mithering.

Yeah ive spotted your post here and there from just googling long and hard to find other means to get this lovely case, looks like going direct was a good way around it !

Looks like a case that could last a life time!
