Lian Li A71 Case

Still with the smoked window. :D

I have to say I'm very impressed with this case. It comes with more screws and bolts and rubber mounts than you could shake a stick at.

It is huge but really light (compared to my Eclipse) and is just stunning.

I would take more pictures if I had a proper camera but anyone who purchases won't be disappointed. A lot of fan molexes. (not the reason for non-disappointment)

Any and all eclipse comparisons will go down really well, since that is what I'm coming from too :p

As easy to work with inside?

I haven't tackled the motherboard yet, just putting the hard drives in at the moment and I love the way that is. Took me a while to catch on that they can only be installed from the back (unless you rotate the hdd cage 180 degrees) but after I wised up it was a piece of cake. Drives fit snug in their places but I won't know what noise levels are like until tomorrow.

I think for ease of use people may prefer to get rid of the VGA pillar temporarily or all together. The motherboard plate comes off so I'll probably go down that route for most of my stuff.

Hi, yes I decided not to use the gfx support strut either, the case is strong enough, as my pipes get in the way anyway. I cannot hear my HD drives at all...

I am thinking of getting one of these to replace my PC7, I fancy trying watercooling in the very near future.

Is the hard drive bays at the front completely removable? My drives are in Silentmaxx enclosures so I wouldn't use it and it would give me more space...

Hi, sure are...

I have email Lian Li about these - and there is no chance for a month or 2 as they havn't started to make them yet IIRC.

Oh, dang, thanks for that, rather odd they put it on their website then. I emailed a kompetitor yesterday regarding it too and they had no clue either and they'll let me know. Least the wheels will be in in a week or so and the window panel at the beginning of Feb

Hi, I got the 'competitor' to cut my top panel to take three 120mm fans, only cost £34inc vat. Damm good job they did too...
