the PC A05 is finally trickling into the UK at around £80

pretty damn expensive seeing as its $99 in the USA

same as the A16, but at double the price £160 :eek:

It's not that simple. The cases you are seeing are US imports. US companies list their products before local taxes, so the price you see isn't the price you would actually pay. As out of stater's though you don't pay those taxes. If you order the case from the US you have to pay the shipping charges (£17 I reckon by 7-10 day USPS), then you have to pay the VAT on top. Then Royal Mail as the final carrier take a chunk (usually £15) for handling the VAT for you.

So - at today's exchange rates I could order a $99 A05;

Case: £52.48
Shipping: £17.00
VAT: £9.15
RM Handling Fee: £15.00

Total Cost delivered to you in the UK: £93.63

That's why they've priced the case at £80. They make a really decent margin for importing it themselves and they don't take so much as to make it worth your while doing it yourself.
 
yeah, hopefully when more stores start getting them in (hint hint) they'll be of a more reasonable price.

the PC7+ retails in USA for around $110 and take that to the £56 we pay here it should even out soon :)
