Yeah I'm thinking my next future build once DDR5 is sensible will be a mobo which has at least a PCIe 5 x16 (x8 lane) bottom slot so I can use that for the GPU without blocking off too much...

3080 FE did look good being upright will just wait see what results others get with thermals and if can use longer riser cable to look cleaner before jumping in

I personally think mounting the GPU in vertical is just not right way to do it.Unless it’s water cooled.That heat from the GPU will be just bouncing back at the GPU and motherboard just my opinion.

Asked in CS what the issue with shipping was and just a general update, apparently they received a large order of the cases and didn't have the space to store them on site so used 3rd party storage, these cases should be coming over today and getting shipped.
I really hope so, I'm on my last two days off work and after 3 years of using the ThermalTake P5, I'm keen to go back to an almost regular case.

I hope so too. I have a 24 hour gaming marathon organised for this weekend and was hoping to have the new case in time for that!

My case just arrived and is now sat next to me while I work. Seeing if I can book a day off to build it in peace.
Going for a full air-cooled setup for now, minus the front mesh kit as I figured the bottom and side intake with top and rear exhaust would suffice. The ultimate plan, probably in 2023 is to do a full custom loop for the first time.

Very strange - I did preorder but I wouldn't have been one of the first. I pre-ordered maybe a couple of weeks ago? Definitely after Christmas, anyway.
