Life without Breaking Bad

Sons of anarchy is the only show I hold in the same regard.

And for the life of me I can't understand why anyone rates the west wing. There have been other shows that I don't like such as dexter that I can see are class shows but the west wing. Just don't get why anyone likes it.

Watch it again and you realise it really isn't all that.

Negatory - lasted 4 episodes of pain based of people telling me its great. Dunno what it was but could not even appreciate it like I could with other shows that were just not me such as mad men and dextor

True Detective
Dexter if you have seen it already
From Dusk till Dawn (netflix only)
The Following
Grimm

I tried to start breaking bad but only managed like 10 minutes of the first episode before i turned it off. I will have to give it another shot and a few episodes to get going i guess.

Personally not a fan of series that show the end before the beginning :/

I like the shield and sons of anarchy though SoA got a little boring. Liked first couple seasons of sopranos but found that got tiresome too.

Banshee has been good up til now, i would recommend that.

As for older shows that i would recommend at least first few seasons:

Dexter (amazing)
24
The mentalist

I have also heard really good things about orphan black and helix but have not seen them myself yet.

Most shows worth mentioning have already been mentioned, but i'll add another vote for the Wire as it is an amazingly good show. Not really the same type of show, but much better than BB imo.

The problem I have is that I tend to binge watch an entire series so don't like to start watching one until it is 100% finished. However, although it's nice to watch episodes back to back without waiting an age for the next season it means

1) I'm forever waiting for a series to end so I can start watching it. My 'to watch' list at the moment is huge.

2) When I do watch them, it's over pretty quick and I can barely remember what happened. Breaking Bad, for example, I was hooked all the way through but if you were to ask me what happened in season 2 or something like that I wouldn't have a clue.

Maybe I need to change to watching as individual seasons are completed instead.

The Sopranos is the best TV show ever made, it's simply phenomenal. I'll admit it's closely followed by both The Wire and Breaking Bad though.

SoA and Dexter etc are ok but they're just fumes compared to those above. Dexter went heavily downhill halfway through too.

I agree that dexter went a bit downhill after the first few seasons, but its first few were definitely better than sopranos and the wire in my eye.

I thought sopranos was decent but no idea why its as hyped up by people as it is. Different tastes i guess lol.

I went on to explain that programs that 'start' with the ending are offputting to me. I will be watching it never thinking 'hes about to die/oo this is about to happen to him' etc because i know hes stood there recording a video after the event.

You should probably go back and watch the first episode in it's entirety.

It's not the ending to the whole series.

I thought that too, but you're wrong. Go back and watch it :p
