Lifetime ban for British Fortnite cheat

I have no sympathy though I suspect he'll just start another account :s though will have a harder time with streaming.

Cheaters are scum IMO.

Had a lot of fun with that when Punkbuster was first released and the first wave of bans from it - the old "I just did it this one time, etc." then dump a load of demos from spectating them showing obvious use of an aimbot going back a couple of years, etc. heh.

Not only a mention but lead headline ! Mind you, Brexit is on a bit of a lull at the moment, Greta the Puppet isnt up to much either and Bake Off is finished and I'm a Celebrity hasnt started yet, so I guess there isnt much else to put to the top :)

Seems to be rife out there. Generally speaking, once a cheat, always a cheat. Lifetime ban is the only way. I also hope he had spent thousands on micro transactions for in game trips that is now also lost. :D

I'm not bitter, not bitter at all.
 
2 million youtube subs and 600K twitch subs.

I bet 95% of them subbed purely to watch him play Fortnite.

That's a hell of a lot of money he's flushed down the toilet if the ban is upheld.

Must admit I laughed when he started to tear up, serves the little sod right.

Love punkbuster, me. Caught so many cheaters in quake 3 back in the day.

Yeah - I got in a bit of controversy over it in Quake 3 playing CTF competitively calling out several high profile players - lots of people giving me flack despite having demos recorded from those player's POV that were undeniably aimbots - then Punkbuster dropped and they all got banned - did I get one single apology?

Albeit always a bit of a risky one calling someone a cheat as there are times when even the most cheating looking player can turn out legit due to them better understanding game mechanics or insight from advanced concepts, etc. or just be a simply much higher level player. From years of playing though I can usually tell an aimbot, even the ones that use smoothing, etc. to try and hide them, due to a higher than normal sensitivity to how much influence tiny strafe nudges are or aren't being used to refine their aim - I've only seen a tiny tiny number of truly high level players who can totally separate their aim and movement situationally somewhat like a turret on a tank when moving and shooting in an FPS game.
 
He's only a streamer, rather than a pro player isn't he? What's stopping him creating a new account and streaming Fortnite with the account name blocked on stream?

Yeah not much stopping him creating a new account and going under another name - though he'd have to hide his identity to stop the previous stuff following him which would limit streaming activity a bit and probably needs new hardware assuming his hardware id is also banned but then someone streaming with 100s of thousands of followers probably has multiple systems anyhow.

Serves him right. I'm calling BS with the "if I'd know how much trouble I'd get into"....yeah, he knew and now he's been banned he's trying it on.
 
So if you look in to it, it appears he did a "Let's try an aimbot" video, where the entire premise of the video was that he was using hacks in it. It's really difficult to hide when you're using them, so if he did use them again in the future it would be quite obvious and the account he was using would be binned. Although I appreciate cheating is cheating but it isn't like there was any deception going on here like there is with cheaters normally.
