Light Bulb Ban Fail

And still take longer to warm up, and give a poorer quality of light.

Longer to warm up? Not sure about the recent ones...

Poorer quality of light? Poor in what way? Dimmer? I've looked more carefully recently and I can't tell the different TBH. If I felt this was the case I'd just put a higher rated bulb in?

so because i dont agree with your eyes, you go off on one and use stupid "FAIL" comments everywhere?

No, because you went on a somewhat comical rant, generally with unfounded or untrue statements, I thought a comical reply was required. Look at your original list of statements, and see how many were completely unfounded, or not really fair? All...? Most...? FAIL seemed to fit the bill perfectly.

Anyway, let's move on shall me :)

none are unfounded or not fair to MY EYES. Maybe your eyes are fine with dim, flickering, blue light etc. But dim lights cause me to get eye strain, much like looking at 20fps stuff instead of 75fps but that's a different argument about people saying our eyes are rubbish and only see 20fps etc.

They don't take THAT long to warm up...like I said earlier, daylight ones I got from The Range (Blackspur brand) light up instantly and give a bright as day colour which is exactly what I am happy with when working on photos in a calibrated environment!

People slating energy savers for being slow and wrong colour are mess up in the face IMO :p shop around and you'll learn there are MANY variations of energy saver. I have 2 in my very room that are 2 opposites, the main one (as I mentioned before) turns on instantly and reaches maximum light in around 10-20 seconds, the smaller uplighter takes up to 1 minute and the colour is notably yellower which is common for the majority of energy saving bulbs but not as yellow as normal bulbs.

Both are 11watt rated so the light of 60watt normal bulb.
