Light rant.

Why would they? Auto lights detect light levels, not weather conditions.

You have to read the pervious quote to under stand the point which was automatic systems in cars making people lazy or oblivious to the fact that certain things still need to activated or deactivated manually.

This morning was the first time in a long time I have felt the need to use my rear fog light - I figure if I am struggling to see cars at the up coming junction, then people will struggle to see me!

I cannot believe people were driving this morning with no lights on at all however, was coming down a fairly steep residential hill this morning and a guy came the other way with absolutely no lights on in a grey 206 - he must have been under 10 meters infront of me before I even noticed him, because the road had three square style speed bumps meant the guy behind me who was taking the middle hump almost had a head on collision!

Funny enough, i was thinking of making a thread like this, this morning. I don't usually morning commute, but man, i saw an alarming number of cars in the fog not using fog lights and still driving rush-hour-aggressively. There are also an alarming, statistically relevant number of cars on the road with tail lights out.

Front fogs do have uses. If the fog is very dense and the dips reflect it back too much then sides and fogs are better. Frankly though in conditions that bad you'd be far better staying at home.
