Lightroom CC releasing tomorrow?

On what GPU? My experience is that it's faster editing and flicking through images in the develop module with GPU enabled. With it off it's like LR5, takes a couple seconds to load the next flicked through image and of course the slower editing per tool.

That is with a GTX 980. The slow flicking in LR5 even existed on the AMD 290X.

I get the same as mrk... much faster loading and editing with GPU enabled.

Image loading time reduced from roughly 0.5s cpu-only to 0.1s gpu-enabled.

It's worth reading this blog update from the LR 6/CC GPU Developer

In Summary:
  • Develop is the only module that currently has GPU acceleration
  • Controls, such as local brush adjustments and spot clone/heal, do not have GPU acceleration
  • Some operations take longer with GPU acceleration enabled; such as image-to-image switching or zooming to 1:1
  • The GPU performance improvement in Develop is more noticeable on higher-resolution displays such as 4K. The bigger the display, the bigger the win

Well that explains why I'm seeing a marked improvement everywhere. If it's not using the gpu for flicking between images then it's certainly more efficient at it in LR6. My monitor is 34" 3440x1440. My preview size is set to 3440px.
