LIMBO!

Love the ol' puzzle games and never heard of this... nor had I heard of Braid, if I was to grab LIMBO or Braid, what would you suggest?

I'm slightly steering towards Braid right now as I hear it is slighly longer, and is only 800MS opposed to 1200MS, but what one has the toughest puzzles, cos that will be the one I go for I think.

Finished it now and really enjoyed it. Some of the last chapters are painfully short though and I went through one or two in a blink but others got me really stuck and had me going for quite a while.

Enjoyed this more than Braid but Braid deffo has replay factor over this. It's a shame this isn't a bit longer is all I can say. If you have the points to burn get it if not wait for it to get knocked down a bit but either way make sure you get it at some point.

Loved every minute of it. Very atmospheric, really draws you in and is quite scary at times.
Yes, it's a tad short and slightly overpriced but you can't have everything :D
Fantastic game.

God this looks/plays lovely (purely from the demo) but with the stories I hear of its length I can't bring myself to pony up the 1200 points....

Fantastic stuff. Sort of reminds me of Another World in a way, which is no bad thing.

At 56% atm; will save the rest until tomorrow.

Ah Another World! Now that is something I would like on Arcade made to look a bit nicer like Monkey Island, a truly classic game that. I need to go back and get the hidden eggs and there are 4/5 points that I need to work on and then I reckon I could get the finish the game in one sitting with less than 5 deaths 'cheevo :D

Assuming you know that they did a PC hires revamp a few years back: http://www.anotherworld.fr/anotherworld_uk/

As for Limbo, I don't think I'll ever manage the 5 deaths or less. I'll never remember where all the traps are.

Still struggling with the buy button here - for those who have finished it, would you say it falls apart towards the end?

Is this game exclusive to the 360? Or is it also coming to Steam? I'd rather wait and get it at the Christmas sales for £2.50 if it's on PC. LOL.

I wouldn't say it ever 'comes together' to be honest. Just found it quite an empty experience overall.

Graphics/styles was impressive, but when there's NO story or character development to go alongside it, it kinda falls flat on its face.

Being an rpg fan I'd normally go along with story and character development being near the top of any essentials list in a game, but Limbo? For me, it doesn't need them.

It generates atmosphere with it's artistic style, and like Ico, less is more with how it handles the sound.

It's made me laugh with how it killed me with some of the traps, and then again when I messed up even though I knew what I had to do. Hell, it's even made me jump in a couple of places, and it's a 2d game in silhouette. Add to that, the "no way" comments it's generated from me when I realised the solution to a few of the puzzles, well, that's just the icing.

For me, this short 2d platformer is a more fulfilling experience than a good many games from the last year.

Been playing it a lot today, how are people finding what % they've completed? Couldn't see that anywhere on my menus!

Definitely worth a go, I didn't like Braid but I'm loving this. Really enjoyable and think the atmospheric graphics are brilliant. Don't really know what's going on (as mentioned there is no story) but the puzzles are fantastic. I'm hoping this is supported with DLC as it's a game that would lend itself well I think.
