US: Limitless

I am really enjoying it. Not particularly thought provoking but some of the bits where they are obviously taking the Michael out of procedural police dramas do raise a smile.

My issue is that I first saw Brian in the teen show "Greek" and he was a real douche.

Still sticking with limitless its a bit like izombie it allows you to switch off your brain and enjoy, had to give black sails, shadowhunters the chop though just too much political and the other one no ooompth at all.

I don't even really care that it's a cop + sidekick kind of show, it's funny enough to keep me watching.

shadowhunters the chop
I gave it a few episodes but by god was it awful. It felt like the main actress was given just a single word to keep repeating instead of a proper script
Simon! Simon! Siiiiimoooon! Simon! Simon! Simon! Simon! Simon! Simon! Siimoon!

I think there's one more episode left? I wonder if Morra will appear again. It's a decent show overall, some laughs and weird crimes to solve.

Yeah just terrible the show felt like some CW show almost like like a blend of tommorow people meets lost girl or something equally repetitive !

Sounds like from reviews and early ratings sh will be getting chopped.

We got 5 more according to wikis saying its a 22 episode run but got a bad feeling it won't be renewed, the shows fun and nice but I can get some of the critics.

Andrei Arlovski tripping was certainly a highlight.

haha did not notice that the only thing I recall is him getting gassed against frank mir and then getting knocked out cold by stripe :)

There's hope yet, CBS recently said they are renewing 5 of it's new shows from this season. They already cancelled one and there's only 4 left including this one with 2 more about to start airing.

If it does get a second season they should get rid of Jennifer Carpenter, kill her off or keep the plot with her falling out with Brian going so she leaves. She's terrible in this and just drags down any scenes she's in.

shocked you said that have the exact same feeling, I have always found JC annoying not sure why, noticed it a bit from dexter maybe its just the way she acts and talks but yeah she does bring the vibe right down !

It's been renewed.

Imho it's a great show

Awesome would like to see more cooper and more shady goings on for season 2 !

Few episodes into this at the moment, it's watchable but a bit rubbish at the same time. It's trying to be far funnier than it needs to be and the humour isn't particularly good anyway. You'd think the FBI could find a more appropriate use for a chemically-enhanced genius than "Here, relieve our case load a bit".

They could also do a lot more with the aspect of split-personality than just having one make stupid videos for the other.

Best thing I ever saw her in was Saturday Kitchen... Never seen James Martin dribble, drool, slobber and fawn so much over a lass, was worse than a school disco!

Still enjoying this show though, it's light and amusing mostly.

I watched the original movie again last night, only second time after it was first released. As good as I remembered and the series "tone" was more aligned than I thought.

I've watched the pilot and the second episode. After the second episode I decided it was a poorly disguised cop drama. Am I wrong, and should I watch more?

I also watched the movie at the weekend having not seen it before watching the TV series

so whats Mora's need for a man inside the FBI..he wsnt 'evil' as such in the movie

To make sure they aren't investigating him for NZT usage. And throw them off if they are. Considering he went from a useless nobody to running for president in little time it probably warrants a looking into.

I don't mind Brian constantly being a smartarse (especially when he's on NZT and is using it as a defence mechanism, I much prefer that to the smug arse Morra became in the film) it's when they have the other characters who should be far more serious act at about the same level.
