Verything is fine my ping is always good on LoL servers but i want more speed for downloading if i can.

Any help or info ?

Thanks

That's as fast as you're going to get. You've got a reasonably long line but it's very stable - as shown by the small noise margin managing a 200 hour uptime.

How can i find out if fibre is in my area ? i'm pretty sure it isn't but if i go on the virgin website it says it is.

I know a few people round here have virgin TV but not internet :/

Fibre and Virgin and 2 separate things.
Try BT's broadband checker or Samknows to check if FTTC is available for you.

Virgin is different as they run a coax line to your home.

My Street, My Postcode is in a Virgin Media area
You're all ready to get...

Superfast up to 120Mb fibre optic broadband
Amazing TV with super intelligent TiVo

Well there's your options. You can either upgrade to Sky Fibre, pick a different FTTC ISP or switch to Virgin.

Thanks,

Its not much more per month to get sky fibre, just gonna be a £50 installation fee

might try and give them a call tomorrow and see if i can blag it for free lol

Best thing I can suggest is you ask to speak to cancellations as they will be able to waive the £50 fee but anyone else is unlikely to be able to. Basically do some research. Check out BT's and Talk Talk's deals and then ask the Advisor to either match or beat it and see what they can do.

Are you in an older property, As if so you may gain a few meg by checking the wiring on the main socket into the house, Some have an extra normally orange wire connected which you don't need and can cause line noise. If you have only 2 wires connected to your master socket then that's all you can get speed wise.

i would check but i don't need to now.

Not sure how sky fibre works, but i just spoke to them they'll waive the £50 fee and all i have to do is plug in the new router they send me, and they send a guy to the exchange to do the rest.

Is this correct ? atm my router is connect from the phone line so i assume all i do is unplug the old sky router plug the phone line into the new one and i should get speeds of around 35mbps.

They said it'll take around 2 weeks.

I can't wait lol
