Linux- Must- Have apps?

i'm simple man:

amarok
kopete
firefox (obviously)
kopete (far better than gaim(imo))

are the four that pretty much get used 90% of time.

other apps i have use or just think are good:
vim
kio-slaves (best thing ever)
ssh
vim
kate
gcc

edit: had beryl for a while but gets old, quick. would probably still use it minimally but it broke, so no choice.
