Crash 1: Tesco Car Park

Tried to take a 90 degree bend at 30mph. Smashed into kerb, ruined subframe, needed new alloy.

Cost: £1100 to repair

Crash 2: Joining bend between M27 & M3

Travelling 90mph. Hit central reservation. Woke up in hospital. No idea why the crash happened. I have no memory of it at all. Only know I hit central reservation because of Police report. Injuries sustained, luckily only really bad whiplash.

Cost: Write off. However got paid £800 more than I bought the car for! Insurance did not go up either, it just failed to go down.

Crash 3: Hit, as passenger, into passenger side door by drunk drivers.

Car was write off. injuried back, cut face and eyes, and whiplash. Personal injury payout of £2000.

You?

Woman in an inside lane on a round about wanting to get out, hits my bike in the back, bike is a write off (uneconomical to repair) and a non fault crash on my insurance :o.

Got most of the money for the bike back (lost about £150, which is fair, since I been riding for a while before).

CrashOne: Power steering failed on saxo VTR, hit a bollard. Car was only a year old, Citroen footed the bill.

CrashTwo: Power steering failed on saxo VTR, hit a bush. Citroen said I shouldn't have been driving it, because the PAS was known to be dodgy. I asked them why it should be "dodgy" after giving it to them to repair the first time. They paid for the repairs again.

CrashThree: Got rear ended by a stupid little girl who I could see fiddling with the glovebox/radio in my rear view mirror. I'd even warned her to stay back once by touching the brake pedal (to which she did back off, but then sped up again whilst not looking where she was going )

That's me so far. No "fault" claims, and two are older than 5 years ago (and were never involved with an insurance company anyway).

I've been involved in others, as a passenger, but I cba to list those, as technically they aren't "my" crashes.

parked in the back of an avensis on the m5 when i failed to slow down quickly enough.

slipped on pack ice, hit a post at 5mph, cracked bumper.

I stopped my metro at some traffic lights in Kidderminster on the way home from uni, I had all my possessions in the back and the car had been MOT'd and serviced the previous day. The woman behind in some giant Volvo tank ignored the red light and ploughed into the back of my totaling my car and some of my stuff, her excuse .... The kids were messing with there McDonalds and wouldn't stop distracting her.

Car was a write off I got £450 which doesn't buy much with an MOT.

Only had one off, hopefully thats how it will stay!

Slid in to a kerb at 5-10 mph - Bent the wishbone and stabilizer - Cost £200

My old cars were riddled with bad luck...

Crash one:

Hit a hare damaging front valance

~£50

Crash two:

Hit a crow smashing front grille

~£30

Crash three:

Reversed in to by taxi, damaging driver door

cost taxi firm ~£300

Crash four:

Reversed in to by woman in shop car park, can't even remember what that damaged but was quite minor

cost her say ~£100

Crash five:

Reversed in to by some tool teaching his brother to drive, damaged front bumper/bonnet etc

cost him ~£1000

Crash six:

Rear ended by someone who was blind/not paying attention damaging rear quarter

Cost his insurance ~£3500 + 4 weeks of a courtesy car

Never had a crash which was my fault and always caught offenders, who had to pay (hare and crow paid with their lives)

mine includes some drink driving, not proud of it, but over 20 years ago :(

- forgot to turn on lights at night and slammed into parked car on Simson 50
- drunk on TZR 125, left road and ended up in ditch
- fell off TZR125 on diesel in public car park
- drunk on KR1 250, highsided on way back from pub
- 3 offs on KR1 250 in snow on way to NEC bike show
- pulled out of junction on ZZR600 and went into back of car still waiting to pull out
- ZZR600 fell over on it's own in soft ground
- sideswiped at junction on ZZR600, wrote it off and the car that hit it
- sideswiped by OAP, TDR250 almost write off
- dropped R6 wheeling it out of my lounge
- R1 knocked over by OAP in battery car, I was not on bike though:)
- work m8 crashed my 'LOAN' Hayabasa in work carpark, gutted!
- pushed TLR1000 off side stand when on hill
- Fell off ZX10 ascending hill in snow last week

my only 'dink' in 7 years

i live on a private road and we never get many cars coming out, i was really hungover/still drink and my mum asked me "be a doll and move my car back, so i can wash both of the cars"

i reversed back without looking and straight into my mate's driver side door -he pulled up outside my house about 2 seconds after i'd got into the car

doh!

luckily was just a bent panel, sorted it out with a plunger

One and only crash, a bus that was initially behind me drove over 3 lanes of traffic into the side of me. Car was wrote off.

Crash 1 -
Aged 18 was driving too fast behind someone I knew from college and read ended him, he then went through a hedge on the opposite side of the road and ended up in a farmer's field and his care was a write off, my (mum's) car was in the shop for almost 3 months before we got it back. Really sorted me out, and stopped me driving like a **** ever again.

Crash 2 -
Christmas Day 2007 was driving from my girlfriend's parents to mine when I was rear ended by the star of the local pantomime! No damage to my car somehow, just some scuff marks that polished out no bother, though she did also knock a fellow off his push bike in the same move, she was being followed by her big brother winning boyfriend (anthony hutton i think his name is). Quite a bizare one that!

1- smashed someones rear lights in in works car park...owner of car was leaving work at the time and witnessed the whole thing.he was very calm and cool about the whle thing £200 1993ish

2- Pulled out from T junction and was sideswiped on the driver side by mini metro that was speeding.(both parties equally to blame IMO)..little pile of crap concertina'd up into a little ball. Chav owner got and begged me not to call the police as he had no insurance...took the money

3- Brakes locked up just next to Angel of the North and went into the back of brand new Ford focus...woman got out and screamed "what do you think you're doing...I'm 4 months pregnant"...the fuzz turned up quite quickly and were very sympathetic..apparently it happens every time theres a smidgen of rain on that particular stretch

Rear ended twice, both in London, both whilst stationary and both have loaded my insurance premium in future years.

There was also the time I spun my Mondeo at high speed when I was 17, ending up down a grass embankment with absolutely no damage except to my pride when I saw the crowd of onlookers, all very surprised we weren't brown bread! A miracle.

Had one crash when driving. Went into the back of a brand new Mini Cooper on a very wet field. Steering locked and nothing I could do, happened 8 months after passing my test. Cost roughly £800 to my insurance, 1st November 2006, I can still remember that awful Wednesday morning!

I rear ended a people carrier on the A1 last year because I was driving too close and the traffic stopped. The whole claim cost my insurance company £6500.

I had a few excursions onto verges when I was younger and lived in North Yorkshire.

Few days ago, reversed into a Lampost, no visible damage at all (not even a scratch) although I can hear a whistling draft like noise at the back when i'm going over 35mph.

1) First time ever on a motorway, some kids were mucking about on a bridge and I allowed myself to get distracted by them, whilst I was looking up to ensure they weren't about to put a brick through my windscreen the traffic in front stopped and I went into the back of some reps Audi. Trashed his bumper, wrote off my metro. 5 points for undue care and attention.

2) Car in front of me at a roundabout started to go them changed her mind, I went into the back of her pretty slowly, no damage to either car, had to tell the insurance company as she mentioned a possible whiplash claim after having had a few days to get talked into it by friends, as far as I know no claim was ever made but I still lost NCB

3) Spun backwards into the central reservation on a dual carriageway whilst trying to avoid some dizzy bint (who never stopped) who couldn't make her mind up which lane to be in.

Passenger wise the only one I can recall is going sledging down an embankment off the side of a dual carriageway in a mates Elise after a knackered damper threw us off the road in a blizzard. Still got no idea how he escaped that with no damage given the number of trees down there.
