Is it just me or do other people get frustrated by the little pointless things people seem to ask on a daily basis?

Examples:

Has the bus come yet?
Obviously not, otherwise I wouldn't be standing here would I? I'd be on the bus.

Did anyone call whilst I was out?
Nobody's called, sorry.
Not even the bank?
No.
Did Angela call?
What do you think the word 'nobody' means?

You got stuck on the motorway? Did you get off?
*standing infront of the person* No, I'm still there

Did you watch that programme on television last night?
Probably.

'Guess what' !!!

That drives me mad, so I irritate them back by insisting that I can guess the subject, meaning going through so many variations and scenarios and insisting that they dont tell me. :D

Although not a question, anyone usnig the word "whatever" as a sentence should be terminated immediately.

I am not a grammar fiend but if you can't be bothered to offer an explantion or are so rude you won't even pay lipservice to what I am saying then you belong back in primary school where you can be taught:

a) Manners
b) Basic sentence construction

People who say this in this way are Springer Fodder imho and derserve to have their benefits taken away.

Thanks

Do you live on a route with more than one possible bus from that bus stop? Is it possible to miss the bus and still be standing there as you saw it disappear down the road? If the answer to either of those questions is yes, it isn't pointless although it doesn't help them much either, they are still going to have to wait exactly the same length of time for the bus.

It's not BORROW as that implies the person needs to give it back...
If you give them a sheet back then it's pretty much the same as borrowing it. Like borrowing money, you don't give them the same coins/notes back.

I'm talking about at school/college when people ask if they can borrow a piece of paper to write on. :)
