Anyone else do this?

I do all the time, nothing major.

Perfect example:

Get a text message, "Chris will Deliver my parcel after 08:06am"

Wife, "oh what are you waiting for?"

"Remote control car"

Wife, " How much did you spend?"

"£60"

.............£60 my arse lol.

Acceptable behaviour?

It depends, if the actual cost was £100 for a used R/C, then that's an acceptable white-lie IMO. If however you were spending £600+ on a new kit or even more on a new rolling chassis AND electronics, then no, that's just an out and out lie.

Depends how your finances are. If you have a bill pot and then you keep your money separate then it's fine. If you combine your money and your spending both yours money then that's not good.

No, that is an example of an actual lie that could be damaging. Lying about finances is not acceptable.

A white éie is something along zhe libes of telling your wife you are going to hhe shops to buy new jeans when actually you are buying here Birthday present.

New 3090. Yes love its to help in my games.
New 10850k and board. Yes love this helps on pc when working on other things.
Sabrent 2tb. Sneeky delivery.
32gb 3600mhz ram helps keep new part stable.

4k monitor, sneeky delivery while she was at work.
Still not noticed as same size as old 2560x1440 monitor.
As she says i don't go anywhere or pee it up the wall so why not.

I did sell my old 1080gtx and psu that was sat around. At least that pulled a few ££back

I find telling Herself “I’d like to spend £xx on myself, if there anything you want?” has worked nicely.

The only sneaky deliveries I arranged were for gifts I wanted to surprise her with at a later date.

It depends on what the outcome would be if you told her the truth about the real cost. Would she flip out? If so then no it’s not really ok. If she’d just laugh and tell you that your a big kid for wasting money then sure.
It also depends on the context of why you told the lie as to whether it’s a ‘little white lie’ or a full blown whopper!

No secrets. If there are then the relationship is doomed in the long run. You tell her straight as you shouldn't feel guilty about anything.

If you don't tell her the truth due to feeling guilty because it's not fair for you to spend that kind of money then you have to ask yourself whether you really should be buying it in the first place.

Small lies lead to fear. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering. Suffering leads to THE DARK SIDE!

Do you want that? Do you?
