Live Stream of my Bird Box - Bluetits Nesting - Chicks Hatching Now

Briliant thanks for sharing.

I have males gathering food in my garden for their females at the moment and it will be interesting to see them passing food even if its not my own ones. I do hope there are no sad ending this time.

I was thinking about the dry food the males take back and the females not getting moisture.

At the moment I have sunflower hearts, nyjer seed (goldfinches are my main tenants) suet balls, peanuts and peanut butter out.

Probably need to take the suet away in the next couple of weeks because of the choking hazard.

Living or dried mealworms that have been rehydrated might be a good option for supplying water in food?

This is fantastic, thanks for sharing. You should send a link to the British Trust for Ornithology :)

Thanks. Just sent it over.

9am weekdays, https://twitter.com/SIBirdClub with Chris Packham & his step-daughter & guests. It's basically Springwatch as best they can manage via laggointernettyvision. They're always on the lookout for interesting footage if you get any. Nice setup by the way. Good to see your efforts rewarded. We've got dunnocks and blackbirds nesting within bushy view of the living room and they're currently eating my mealworm supply faster than I can replace it, what with shopping being problematic.

Female is awake and having a tidy up. She appears to be changing the bedding that she slept on.

Male is sheltering in another box and leaving her to it for now.

Not sure if this exchanging of material is routine or if its because she carried on bringing materials in after it rained last night. So I assume some of that moss is wet and she was probably pretty wet when she came in to roost too.

I find it’s a bit like staring at a fish tank......in theory it should be boring as hell but in reality it’s fascinating and tranquil in equal measure. At least for me.
Aside from saying ‘good work’ in my previous I should have also said thank you. Quite enjoying it.

Yep I've got a cheap 30 litre tank with some little fish I got from Pets at Home. I often find myself having been inadvertently watching them do nothing for 10 minutes. Very relaxing.

Good stuff BTW, OP. Should be a nice distraction if they do have chicks.

Yeah fingers crossed - long way to go yet!

I find the same since we got a log burner. Staring at that over winter its just light dancing around but add in the heat and the snaps and crackles and its much better than whatever is on TV.

Pretty typical, I usually disappear into the livingroom when the wife changes the bedsheets :D

Can you explain what that pulsing noise is in the background? Almost like a helicopter... Is it the encoding or is it actually something in the local.

I can't hear a pulsing on my end but the mic isn't the best quality and is quite sensitive which does lead to a fair amount of white noise.

Having some trouble with OBS Studio this morning so that might be related. Anyone know any good alternatives?
