If Rafa's leaving I want Juventus or some team to snap him up. That way: no contract payout, and we could even get Mourinho :D

If Mourinho comes, half our players will get sold I reckon

you really think this is permanent though

team (and morale) can be changed in a summer with enough investment - and I dont believe many PL takeovers have happened with no team investment

No Europe wont even last a season imo - No CL is another matter but still would be surprised if it lasted more than 2 or 3 seasons (even without Torres)
debt will be bought out by any new investor....

I really dont get why people think any club debt is counted seperately to any purchase price, the current owners may hold out for as much as they can get but any purchase is surely worked out on what the club 's assets are (like Anfield and training ground, like value of media /sponsor and player contracts and EPL money etc etc) and then balancing that out against the current debts

(and yes Im sure there are reasons why the current owners will possibly get more in their pockets than maybe they should - but thats to do with art of negotiatons) - I dont any owner of any club in debt expects to get paid 100% of the value of the club on its sale
 
Liverpool need to sell a lot of carp and buy new, with Man City spending loads and Real Madrid who can Liverpool actually afford?

Won't it be a case soon where all these mega billionaire owners will be so widespread that there will 10 clubs in europe able to afford anyone they want then we are back to the same situation.

How many trillionaires are there? hehe

How are Liverpool going to get passed Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City hell even Spurs, Villa and Everton!!!
 
The problem is that Liverpool don't need a buyer, they need a sugar-daddy. Football is one giant pyramid scheme. Buy a club, watch it make loss after loss and then magically sell it on at a profit! It can't last. There is going to come a time when there will be no buyer and the owners will be forced to try and make the club viable...

That's not true. Liverpool without the debt the Yanks put us in are more than capable of being self-sufficient without making a loss.

The football club's last set of accounts showed a ~£10m profit and that includes the club directly paying a % of the interest on the debt. That will also not include all the increased commercial deals we've signed in the last 18-24 months (an increase in ~£15m on our shirt sponsor alone + several new deals).
