Liverpool Sack Comolli

Because if they came out and said they were **** that would be a little bit thick.

Would be refreshing to see a club / owners just be totally honest.

I agree though, that it would be an unwise thing to do at this point in the season and the negative effect it could have on the players.

Might be refreshing but you're going to destroy any confidence anyone has left.

Because now papers will be speculating on is Kenny happy with the players he has, is Kenny getting sacked and now players who were signed by him are questioning their future in the summer as the man who helped bring them in has been sacked.

There was zero reason to do this before the cup game.

This close to a game, will they be reading any of the papers /listening to the radio etc?

Or it could mean KD is safe, therefore I (the player) am safe too (as KD chose him to start with)

swings and roundabouts - most managers rely on "world is against us" ethos before big games so whether they are reading / listening to the news this near (given they will be travelling to London tomorrow I would think) wouldnt have time to take effect imo

It might be a factor, I totally see your point , I just think its more of "and another reason why we lost......" rather than anything else :D

Which would harm them how? They are playing like people with no confidence, and rather than blame the players, and maybe forcing them to actually pick up their idea's, they've just blamed someone completely uninvolved.

This is the problem, you say its thick to have a go at the players, but blaming a guy whose only job is buying players....... for making good buys and then firing him for that good job is... not thick?

Likewise, your manager has made excuses for ALL the players ALL season long... has that worked yet at all? So making excuses for the players hasn't bucked up their idea's or improved their confidence to date, so doing it again is the smart choice? Sure, some people however might suggest doing the same thing again and expecting different results is madness... only because that is the definition of madness. Trying something new like, telling the stupid players who are playing stupidly badly that it is infact their fault, might actually make them train harder and play better...... but no, make excuses for them while also firing a guy for a reason that clearly puts the blame on the players AND the manager, but just not in so many words makes far more sense ;)

I won't be blaming this on why we lost at all, it will either be got beaten fair and square, or another immence decision from the quality that is british referees.

Calling the players **** in public that have been bought right before a semi-final in which cup games we've been rather good most times is not the time you would start testing the 'lets see how they respond to this one' theory.

I'm not saying their are excuses for our manager/players whatever that are valid, but to blast them before a massive game as a test would be really really dumb since we've been good in the cup.

And I already said sacking Comolli right now is pretty poor timing, calling our signings **** on top of that and have it backfire on saturday would be completely retarded.

Can you like stop just posting smilies and try explain yourself?

You said it would be refreshing for them to be honest, honest would = calling our players who have signed ****.

You then went on to say that wouldn't be smart at this time of the season, what time would it be smart?

I'm just amused you haven't understood what I was saying.

I said, that it would be refreshing to see the owners / chair people of a club come out and be completely honest, which it would.

I however, understand that it would be a silly thing to do, so... what is your problem with what I've said there Purdy?

You're so obsessed with this defensive stance you have you completely miss things, I was initially agreeing with what you'd said. I can't say anything else, I'll be banned.

Sorry I can't grasp what you're saying but I still feel you haven't answered me. Also why would you feel the next thing you'd say would get you banned? I'm not trying to be aggressive or defensive here, I'm simply trying to understand.

You have said a) It would be refreshing for owners to be honest
b) But at this point of the season it would be a dumb move to make.

So I am trying to figure out what time would be good and refreshing for an owner to be honest about the signings being **** as it will destroy them. (As that is what being honest here would mean.) - This bit
that it would be an unwise thing to do at this point in the season
I know you have a problem with me but I was only trying to understand =/

Just fail tbh i had doubts when Comolli came to us anyway but to sack him and not KD is just as bad, They can say its mutal consent all they want but i highly doubt it was i can see it being more a cause of walk yourself or we fire you anyway

Even if KD picked them and Comolli got them he is still half the problem, Take Comolli out of the equation its KD picking the teams, tactics, motivating them etc thats not down to Comolli so again it goes back to KD not doing his job correctly at the moment.

If KD stays past summer and signs similiar players we will be just as bad :(

We're also hearing that Natalie Wignall, the in-house lawyer, has also left the club.

Never a dull day.

Hope the keeping coach is gone.

I initially was agreeing with you while making a general point; you're just too defensive of Liverpool to see that.

You have said

mhm.

a) It would be refreshing for owners to be honest

Yes, it would be. I wish more owners and chair 'people' were honest about their clubs, I wish it would knock down to the managers too.

I value honesty highly, I fully understand why managers don't want to be seen in public to be highlighting the failings of their players though.

b) But at this point of the season it would be a dumb move to make.

Yes, Yes it would.

Not before a huge derby game in the FA Cup semi final? Maybe at the end of the season.

I know you have a problem with me but I was only trying to understand =/

If he's the clown that handled the Suarez case that doesn't surprise me. Was mishandled from beginning to end.

Hope none of Rafa's youth team coaches are sacked, that's if they haven't already gone. Nicking them from Barcelona was a massive positive for the club.
