Well bought my first car...
Never occured to me but today popped the hubcaps.. locking nuts :(
checked glovebox and boot nowt there.

Whats the easiest way to remove them?
Are the reverse thread removers worth using?

Use the Clarkson approach... get a hammer and bash it till it fits. Or go to the dealer to obtain a locking nut, may be beneficial in the long run.

Tried phoning the previous owner? I received the manuals for my current car in the post after buying the car when they came across them. I hadn't asked for them either :)

Went to ford today, as theres no ID code/card they wouldn't entertain it and wanetd to charge me for removing thema nd also then replacing them :(

Don't they have like a master set where they can just check which I need then order me one :/

Check with the spare in the boot.

nowt :(

Depending on the type of wheel, you might be able to smash a slightly larger socket on and remove them that way. Been there a couple of times with myself...

Last incident was last week when I managed to crack the locking nut and completely tear the 'teeth' out. Bad times.

Finished up drilling the nut as close to the thread as possible and releasing the pressure to screw off by hand. This was after a few attempts with the hammer and chisel and even a spot of welding!

Good look :)

I'll just leave this here ...

Easy way to safely remove them is to use a dremel type tool with a high speed grinding bit and drill through the centre, then work around until they disintegrate, it takes a while but will remove them without any risk of damage to the car

That would be great if the nut actually protruded from the wheel by a couple of inches but these days most are recessed.
