locking wheel nuts problem

There's not enough room around the locking nut to hammer another socket over :(

drill time... £120 Ford want

:( the drill option is fun but a pain haha
Try something other than silverline drill bits, the ones I used were cack :(
The little 3/4mm one we started with was great just cut into the stud without problem. Soon as the size started going up the bits started failing :(

And remember to keep the bit/stud cool with fluid

Once you get the locking nuts off just put regular nuts back on. No one is going to steal a standard alloy anymore and if they are some pricey aftermarket ones then a little nut isn't going to stop a determined thief. I think they are far more hassle then they are worth.

Try having a set of standard 17" Ford softline 7 spokes - they attract thieves :-)
