locking wheel nuts problem

There's not enough room around the locking nut to hammer another socket over

drill time... £120 Ford want

the drill option is fun but a pain haha
Try something other than silverline drill bits, the ones I used were cack
The little 3/4mm one we started with was great just cut into the stud without problem. Soon as the size started going up the bits started failing

And remember to keep the bit/stud cool with fluid

Once you get the locking nuts off just put regular nuts back on. No one is going to steal a standard alloy anymore and if they are some pricey aftermarket ones then a little nut isn't going to stop a determined thief. I think they are far more hassle then they are worth.

Try having a set of standard 17" Ford softline 7 spokes - they attract thieves
