logitech and customer service

they replaced my 4 year old G5 a couple of months back with a shiny new G500

Fantastic service all round:D

My speakers,keyboard & mice are all logitech,no worries if they go pear shaped
 
I bought a set of Z-5500's off of ebay, used them for about 4 months thinking the design of the control unit was crap because there was no backlight, then I realised it had just broken. No matter I thought, it was only an eBay purchase....another 5 months down the road the lack of backlight is bothering me again so I figure why not call them?
A very quick 5 minute phone call later, gave the lady at the Belfast call centre the serial number, emailed her a photo and she said she'd get a replacement sent out immediately.
Score I thought!
A couple of days later I get the UPS tracking number.... apparently the package their sending me weighs 27kg! It's due to arrive later this week.
If they've gone and sent me a whole new set I don't know what I'm gonna do! I only called up on a whim because the backlight broke!
 
Just emailed them about my Mx518 that decided to cut on and off after 4 years of abuse.

I already have my new G500 here and sent them a pic of both mice with both receipts whilst they were ontop of my G11 keyboard :)
 
Ubertiger you will be getting a complete brand new set. The control pods cannot be sent without the rest is what the told me. So you will be free to do with the old ones what you want. :D
 
I have taken a punt and contacted support as my Extreme 3D pro Joystick, which I bought on 23 Jun 2007 from OcUK has packed up.

Twist function is pulling hard right all the time and I have read this is a common problem. Have asked them if it is possible to reset it (which I know cannot be done).

Will await the outcome and report back. :)

I'd like to add my story as well.

I brought a Logitech Attack 3, didn't open it for a long time and then when I did, one of the buttons came off even though it lived in a stable and dry cupboard. I e-mailed Logitech, and I got a new joystick!
 
I had G5 wire rub away and turn fuzzy after many years. Sent them a pic and they sent me a G500.

I only asked for a good way to fix it. Awesome result. Makes me feel guilty tbh. RMA must cost them so much.
