Logitech headset..oops

Ok second one of these iv'e fked, sat on first on and broke actual headset, second one was plugged into laptop and usb got bend, have cut the wire halfway off the first one (usb still perfect) and was seeing if i could reattach it to the second one, anyone know if this is possible with these weird 'furry' wires..

A lot of people who complain to logitech about a faulty product get offered a 50% off coupon, no questions asked. They dont care if it's your fault or not.

The wires tend to be enamelled, its possible to solder them, but you have to scrape off/remove the coating first!

i've done this rubbish before with my xbox headset, they have this coated crap on the wires and i used a lighter to burn it off, i held the lighter over one wire at a time but not for too long just enough time to see the coated crap burn away (usually it catches alight and burns down the wire) then i found that you HAVE to solder the wires to get the thing to work and twisting them together for some reason doesnt work properly, its possible, just takes a while, and may look a bit ugly at the end but who cares

Get a Logitech Vantage headset, ~£12 new and does work on PC.

Probably! Would also more than likely melt the plastic outer as well.
