Logitech Laser Mice

Yeah, I see, It has two Li-Ion Batteries, you can keep one in the mouse while the other one is loading... Quite handy, but how long do they last until they "wear up"? And how much do they cost when bought separately?

@DingleBerry: Whos that in your sig?

How much better would you say the G7 is compared to the BT Logitech MX900 ?

I have the 900 and was thinking about getting a new mouse but if I was going to get the G7 I need to know if it is possible to buy new batteries from Logitech or somewhere else ?

Gotta have wireless because no matter how many times a week I clean my desk I have so much in a little room it ends up like this

Got both.

Got a 6ft by 4ft bed made from 1inch mdf wood and the inside is packed with VHS Films and Boxes from stuff I have bought I have 2 DVD Cabinets that has DVD Films and games, also have a shelf above my computer thats got some films and game dvd cases on.

I live with my parents atm and live in a rectangle room that is only about 5ft longer than a square room and WAY too much stuff.

G7 battery time sucks :O

that rubbish

Logitec put a 600mAh battery in it got a reason...

1. save weight...

2. fast charges..

the battery won't run out before the other is charged..

i've played 12 hours + of solid gaming and never had a problem @ 2000dpi.

yea you change the battery and that takes what??? 5 secounds...

the G7 is a awsome mouse sooo much better than anything else i've used. Its light on the hand action and feel is better than any other mouse i've used.

Been using one for the last couple of days.

Surperb mouse for all of the above.

If switching a battery pack ( time taken = 3/5 seconds ) every 24 hours is too much trouble, then "Houston, we have a problem ".

Been using current pack since approx. 11.00am today , still showing 2 bars on the meter.

This is before i go into some BF2 carnage ( with one on the charge / AMMO ) !!!! :D

Its not that thats bothering me its the lack of info on how to get more batteries for when the ones you have start to die.

I cant find anywhere to buy more batteries ???

I'm gonna nominate the mx610. Great mouse. You only have a usb dongle to connect, and the email and im features are great imo. I've owned various logitech and microsoft mice over the years, and this has been the best. And at £30 its a bargain ;)

MX1000.

I really can't believe how long the battery lasts. On a full charge its a couple of days before it even goes down to 2/3 leds battery. And I'm using the pc a good 10 hours a day :p
Seconded. Ive had a MX1000 since it was released (2+ years ago i belive?). For the first year or so it lasted 2 weeks with heavy usage. Now, after all this time, it can last about a weeks worth of heavy usage, but as long as you wack it on the charger every now and then its fine. One of the best pieces of computer kit ive bought.

Have not heard good things about the MX1000 I have heard that over time (less than a year) the battery fails to hold a decent charge and the fact that you cannot change batteries over doesnt appeal to me.
Havnt heard that one, but the latter is true of ANY battery available.

yeah but the fact that the battery is built in in the MX1000 means if it goes wrong you gotta buy a new one :(

Has anyone here been able to get extra batteries for the G7 ?

I only ask as on the weekends the Logitech Lines are closed :(

The chances of them going wrong is extremely low.

Don`t think you can go wrong with the MX1000,mine gets really heavy use because i do a lot of modding/painting in photoshop, had it since launch and it`s still good for a full week`s use on one charge,as mentioned above though, just whack it on the charger every now and then. One of the best things i`ve spent my money on :D

Yeah was looking at *** MX1000 in PCWorld (Who incidentally do not stock the G7 WTF) and I did not like the thumb bit that sticks out as I have gotten used to the feel of the MX900 which is pretty much Logitech's standard design for their mice lol.

Was trying to find a local shop that stocks the G7 but tried in Curry's Dixon's but alas cant find any high street retailers that do it :(

On another note I got on the phone to Logitech today and asked them and they said that if the batteries for the G7 start to lose effectiveness they will send out new batteries :)

I must admit most of my 3rd party controllers (ie keyboard, mouse, gamepads) have all been logitech and i must say their TS is pretty hard to beat IMO.

I had a problem with the Logitech Cordless Joystick and they said just snip the end of the USB wire and send it to them (Even though it didnt work it was still hard to chop a piece of equipment up :( ) and about a week after I sent it I got a new joystick.

Edit
Was looking on a well known auction site and they wanted £45 for a refurbished G7 Black with only ONE battery  lol lol lol

You have included too many images in your signature or in your previous post.

Please go back and correct the problem and then continue again. WTF ???
