Logitech MX518 Legendary

I have two of the originals, almost certain to get one of these after seeing some reviews, given the proper 1000Hz support in the software. Key thing for me would be same microswitch feel as the original, which I guess is very likely going to be the case.

Still rocking a MX510 on my work PC, Mrs has my MX518 after I moved to a G620. I'd switch back to one of these in a heartbeat, shame it doesn't have the old holographic grip though :D

I lost the feet pads on mine, tried replacing them but it was never the same.

I'd be tempted to get another.

I've lost the feet on my original too, but it's still going strong.

This is relevant to my interests. I've often wondered what the hell I'd replace it with and if this is a spiritual successor to the original...

I'm concerned what they will charge for it though, the appeal of the original was that it was high enough specced and well enough designed...

.. But low priced, think I paid £25 for mine.. And that's probably why it's so fondly remembered. It was an amazing mouse for the money (ergonomically and in terms of performance) without any frivolous extra features.

This new model has on board memory and god knows what else, (fancy unessasary features) so if it weighs in at £80 or something daft, it's kinda not honoring the spirit of the original.

Seems a current trend to bring out something from the past that's great. Slap new coat of paint, rgb and as above wack a big price on it. It seems its all about greed currently. I could however be hugely wrong. We will see.

I found my original MX518 a few weeks ago. I never got on with it and it probably only had a few hours use.

I was just looking on here for a potential replacement for my original mx518.

I have had it for about 10 years now and I think the right click is just starting to go which is a shame. Shoddy build quality in mine I think! :p

i would normally agree but these were iconic mice. one of the best ever made for pc gaming. so its a welcome return.
