Just spilt a whole bottle of Budweiser over my G11 Keyboard and now loads of keys are not working

Yes i know its my fault, ive emailed Logitech and have left out the bit about beer being spilt :),im hoping i can get atleast a discount on another KB from there store.

If not im in the market for another KB around the £30-40 range as this ultra slim Logitech KB im using now is doing me head in:)

Im thinking about the Microsoft Sidewinder X4 or X6 Keyboards, are these suitable replacements for a G11?

This should teach me to have beer on my desktop in future.

The G11 is the KB i split beer on,the Logitech Ultra slim is my backup KB which im using now as the G11 is now useless.

The G11 is a superb KB for the money, so no i didnt spill beer on it on purpose;)

^Never, you say?if all else fails with Logitech then the X4/X6 Sidewinder is the KB i will look to get.

Thats why in my OP i have asked if these are suitable replacements,of course if Logitech offer me a replacement or discount i can then look to sell maybe.

I might sound like an arse but i hope you don't get a free keyboard as it was your fault and since Logitech treat thier customers so well when it comes to warrentee i don't like to see them being taking advantage off.

Lol it's a sin to spill beer logitech just sent me a brand new g19 when mine failed they are quite good with replacements

Been in touch with Logitech and a new Keyboard is being despatched to me :)

Another case of superb Customer Service even though i have lied to them,i have bought a lot of there products in the past and will continue to do so . :)

Tbh i would have been more than happy with some discount on another Logitech keyboard

Thanks for the support DIABLO :D

Logitech replaced my entire z5500 speaker system when the sub went after a drunk party I was at where it got turned up and blew it lol.

Technically I don't remember it happening so :D

Great service from them though.

how did you explain that to the logitech rep? lmao

Win Win all round. I am going to be a nag and say i kind of disapprove of you lieing. Logitech do great customer server and I dont want them to stop.

My example is a good one. Had a Logitech 5.1 Z5450 set which the rear speaker stopped working. I rang them expecting them to send me a new a speaker. Instead it turns out my speakers were discontinued. So they sent me a set of z-5500's which were a good £300 more.

excuse me mr logitech, but my discontinued dinovo that i have only used almost everyday for the past 7 years has worn out, can i have a brand new dinovo edge for free pleeease!!!1

Make you wonder how much of a markup all this great customer services adds up to! I my self got a replacement for my MX518 with out even sending the old one or the receipt (sensitivity button problem).

I agree. This is taking advantage. It was your fault, nothing to do with a faulty item. Its akin to fraud tbh.

I had a G5 replaced when their firmware update killed it. It was 7 months over the warranty period, they replaced it. Although they had no obligation to do so. When they decide that they will no longer honour every single RMA over the warranty period, every customer loses out.

Like ive said ive bought lots of there products and will continue to do so after this.

@PhillyDee,Fraud behave for christ sake,i paid £30 for keyboard that is 3 months old that i accidentally spilt drink on,ive hardly committed a crime and to say fraud over £30 is laughable

So what i told a white lie,Logitech have now got a customer for life over this so they profit dont they, and they have yet another thread on the internet praising there customer service
