Long time browser....

It's a nice monitor, but really you're paying for the refresh rate and 3d capability. If you want to spend that much on a monitor I'd look at a Dell 24" for their excellent colours. I game a lot, but even so 90% of my time is spent on desktop work, where refresh rate doesn't count for much.

I would suggest going with something cheaper though. Coming from an old tv, you're going to get an upgrade regardless, and you can always upgrade to a multimonitor setup later with the monitor you really want, leaving this one for secondary tasks.

ok so I think I've taken everything into account. Kept the PSU incase I decide to go udal gpu in the future if i go multi monitor. Unlikely but you never know.

I went DVI because it means I can use the HDMI port on the monitor for my PS3 since PC's dont exactly get loads of JRPG's so I'll still need my PS3 for them.

EDIT: I dont need anything other than a screw driver to put all this together?

Looks good, you should get a monitor cable with the monitor though (usually VGA, but sometimes DVI as well), so you could drop that and save a tenner.
