I joined just after the big nuke i think
Big nuke was 2002 or so...so "just after" is 2 years?

I joined just after the big nuke i think

That's what happens when people win charity auctions for post counts.
Was a member before the big Nuke.
then the big nuke in Oct 02 due to the database getting so large the site was very slow.
Many people here will have a joining date of October 2002. OcUK forums were around for quite a bit before that but there was a big purge at that time and everyone had to sign back up again. I can't remember exactly when I joined but it was certainly a couple of years before the purge. This place has changed a lot since then![]()

i signed up for the overclocking sections initially in around 2000
then i realised most people were just running the same hardware as everyone else (something which still goes on, and i have noticed in other sections as well). the number of AXIA Athlons on KT7-A's was insane, then all of a sudden the KT7A was rubbish and everyone had Iwill motherboards, then an Epox....
oh and there was a forum-wide obsession with jack daniels and referring to each other as sir...

They're called "the pre-nuke contingent".
