Looking at VR again

Quest 3 is still the best all rounder if you want wireless. Depends on your budget though.

As for glasses, whatever headset you get it's essential you get prescription lenses for it. Not only is it more comfortable and convenient, but it protects the lenses from scratches.

Ty! was starting to look at a Pimax, i was lucky enough a month or so ago to be able to clear my visa, so can rack myself up into debt again now! wont be for another month or 2 anyway, just to build up a bit of saving to contribute to it.
BTW, if a company offers the lens holders for their headset, can I assume they can make the lenses, or should i take the holders off to specsavers (other opticians are available!) and ask them to make a lens?

Maybe I should create my own thread for this and apologies OP but I'm in the same boat. I've got 9800X3D and 9070XT and nearly bought a quest 3 a week or two back.

Can you use the Q3 wired to reduce latency as it was mentioned previously in the thread that wireless can have 60ms delay?

Yes I believe you can connect a link cable to power it and connect it. I use mine wirelessly at the moment and haven’t noticed much in the way of latency problems. Occasionally get a slight glitch but not enough to make me want to use a link cable.

Understood. Someone a mile away from me is selling one with the link cable for £200 so I was tempted to go have a look.

a few on the VR racing discord use a Q3 wired, and a few use it wirelessly, including myself, now you've joined feel free to ask questions they are very knowledgable on there..

a full fat. quest 3 and not the S? break their arm off!
They never replied so not sure what's going on with that ad. I avoided it.

I made a bit of a mistake though...
I put on a bid on eBay, it came up on my eBay splash page that my offer expired. I bought another then the original offer got accepted so now I've got two.

if eBay said offer expired and then still put it through I would be p.... ed at that. were they a good price at least? at least you can pick the best one out of the 2, then sell the other on I guess.

I was pretty hacked off when it happened. Got both as new, I'll keep the one that came with the additional battery headset and face guards. If I can resell the other for what I bought it for then that's fine. Still miffed how that turned out though.
