On Friday lunchtime, I was in Tescos, and I got followed round by a security guard. I asked him why he was following me and he said that they had received a report that me and my friend had been shoplifting CDs. This of course was total rubbish. Neither of us had been anywhere near the CDs.

It wouldn’t be so bad if it was just a once off, but its happened before in other stores, and I often seem to get stopped at airports, last time to the point of nearly missing my flight back from Italy because I was questioned for nearly an hour.

I don’t really know why it happens, but I was wondering if anyone else has the same problem, or if its just me?

I get this too. Unless you go in as a family, or dress like going to a posh lunch nothing you can do.

But stupid really, if I were a thief I'd dress up..

do your jeans actually fit ,or do they hang of your arse showing your underwear.
another tip is not to wear gloves especially in summer

Oddly i never get looked at by major shopping places, even police seem to not mind me (i.e never get a second look or even a look by them). However, turkish, indian and Greek shops tend to keep an eye on me for some reason :D Everywhere i go and go to one of these places they keep an eagle eye on me! I'm indian looking but of caribbean descent btw, so i guess i dress more caribbeany than anything lol, i do like me hoodies but i never go in a place with it up and hardly wear gloves, jeans are usually by me waist but never hanging off me or showing crack :p

If you have long hair you are theif.

Didn't anyone tell you?

So that's why I always get followed by the store detectives! Once, in the land of the Purple Shirts, we got kicked out because the security guard got confused when me and a couple of mates split up into different aisles when we noticed he was following us. :D

When I am wearing school uniform I get followed round Tesco (no long hair though :D). Think it's because a couple of idiots stole sandwiches from there one day to see if they could get away with it - blatantly they couldn't. ;)

If they're following you for that reason maybe they don't know who did it still.... therefore they got away with it ;)

I'd rather be in your situation than the one I get into! I get asked for ID for buying RED BULL.

Bah.

My misses finds it funny that security guards seem to be instantly attracted to me in certain clothing stores and the like, HMV is a fave also!

Your not alone. :(

just tell them to <urinating word> off, i usually do.
sometimes i go and look and things that could embaress them, if they seem like planks, or are trying to be discrete but SUCK at it.

Check out condoms tights or tampons next time mate
