Looking for a 16:10 monitor 24" or larger for less than £350 that will do 1:1 pixel mapping: Does it

I have quite a complex setup as I use my monitor for a wide variety of different tasks (e.g. PC Gaming, Work, TV, Xbox 360 gaming) and I currently have a Dell 2007WFP that I am very pleased with but am looking for something a little bigger as it kind of gets 'lost' in my study (I've moved house since buying the 2007WFP)

I prefer the 16:10 ratio as when I am doing work it is usualy in word, powepoint or publisher and the extra height of the 16:10 screen comes into its own when you can have 2 full pages side by side and work on them. I've worked on 16:9 monitors before and they just don't seem as comfortable to do a range of activities on (although they are excellent for TV and console gaming).

As such, I would like to get the best of all worlds (should such a product exist) that meets the following criteria;

16:10 aspect ratio
1:1 pixel mapping for when console gaming watching TV
24" or bigger
£350 or less ideally - but could go to £400 if there is truly exceptional.

Any suggestions would very much appreciated.

The HP LP2475w might be your best bet, slightly difficult to obtain but some stores still have it in stock. The wide gamut might be a problem for you though.

There's also 25.5" ASUS VW266H or 24" BenQ G2400W, from what I can find. Availability of these two, especially the BenQ (probably discontinued), is extremely thin though.

Otherwise, there's always the Dell U2410, but that costs about £450.

There's a couple of new monitors recently announced like the 24" Asus PA246Q or 24" Fujitsu P24W-6 which are 1920x1200 (no idea if they have 1:1 pixel mapping though) and could possibly be be around £400. Otherwise, you don't have much of selection since the 16:10 aspect ratio is a dying breed, sadly.

Thank you both very much for the helpful information, it has given me plenty to think about and read before making a decision.

That's a point, I have not seen the MM yet... how do you get into it?

From the FAQ:

Access to the Members Market forum requires two things. Firstly, you will need to have over 250 posts and have been signed up for at least 90 days. Please note that this does not mean you spam the forums simply to increase your posts, as this action will result in posts being deducted, and if you continue this behaviour, your account will eventually be banned/suspended. Once you reach 250 posts, you will need to activate your trust. This is either found in your UserCP, or you can press the trust button that appears at the bottom of all your posts.

I only just got granted access today or the day before if I've counted the days right.
